2019 Program

 

To become a member of EPIC you simply buy any qualifying short-sleeve jersey and any bottom, along with a $23 EPIC Membership Fee for 2019.

 

• These basics—a sponsored jersey top and bottom—need to be ordered each season.

• Each season’s sponsors can be different, and therefore all of them reasonably expect to not only be represented, but on the fresh, current-season’s design

 

So it’s not about whether you may need one of these items per se, it’s about participating in this larger win-win value equation that drives the success of the relationships, and that makes our team thrive.

 

2019 Qualifying Jerseys

(i.e Jerseys that have all sponsors represented)

They are:

• Biofit Jersey (unisex, $115, in either Haka or Velo design)

• Ultimate Race Day with Kite Fabric (unisex, $115 in Haka design)

• Women’s Jersey (women only, $75 in Velo design)

 

Note that Long-Sleeve Jerseys and Women’s Sport Tanks are great additions, but are considered accessories as they do not have all sponsors represented. Therefore, they don’t meet the basic requirements of the sponsor/team relationship equation described above.

 

2019 Qualifying Bottoms include:

• Elite Bib Short (unisex, $115)

• Women’s Bib Short (women only, $95)

• Women’s Short (women only, $85)

It’s important to note that the full selection of exquisitely-designed season kit options and accessories is only offered once--in the January production run of the season.

 

Any other in-season production runs, if initiated, are typically for essentials only, i.e. one jersey and one bib option.

 

In other words, if you want something, order it now. Many from last year will tell you they regretted not taking the opportunity to get a vest, the Merino jersey, the arm and leg warmers, or some other thing they didn't just get while is was available...

Sponsor – Team Relationship

 

For those who may be new to riding with a sponsored team, here is some context.

 

We as team members buy a sponsored kit each year. In exchange for wearing it as we ride through the season--and representing the team and our sponsors well--we receive benefits.

 

Each season EPIC’s team benefits relate to the sponsors we work with. Some benefits are indirect, such as resources that cover team expenses and team-wide initiatives. Others are direct, such as discounts or other programs that benefit members individually.

The kits themselves are worth every penny. But EPIC's relationship with Al’s Cyclery (and by extension Al’s Sporting Goods) provides a benefit that on its own typically recoups each team member’s kit cost.

​

• Exclusively, EPIC team members enjoy Al’s highest discount pricing tier, one not available to the public.

• These team discounts are available at stores in Orem and Logan, as well as online at www.als.com

Collective Efforts

​

The other benefits each team member enjoys is the value created by 100s of hours of donated labor and the many efforts of team members, particularly the leadership team, AKA  “EPIC Jefes.” And in some cases family members of the team who also assist and support us. No one on the team profits or is paid to provide their time. We do it because we are passionate about the sport, and we love to ride and train as a team.

 

Similarly, for those joining us, the expectation and hope from all of us, your new teammates, is that you will also pitch in and help at every opportunity.
